True love they say can do many things. And perhaps it weaves more webs than we care to acknowledge. It was true love that caused the mermaid queen, Sereia to leave her kingdom for a time to marry a witch, the head of the Paxton Clan. It was her sister Dahlia that everyone seemed to hope was the future. Dahlia who seemed to excel at everything by nature. She was the favorite child the one that seemed to not allow others to control her and forged her own path. The child her mother favored. Hearing the thoughts of those around her and knowing she couldn't measure up to her twin. Cat feel more and more into depression wanting so much to belong.
A Friend Indeed...
She found someone to view her as better in Lord Bryceton Von. He was the same as she was a mind reader. A man whose own father had honed him to do his bidding. He had later arranged for his father's death. He encouraged young Catalina to hide her powers from the world and began to slowly affect her mind for his own reasons. He cared very much about her and in his own strange way was looking out for her.
Catalina and Dahlia would both come to met the man who would some day become king of the witches, Kyrell Giese. For the first time Dahlia allowed someone else to have power over her. A fact that greatly disappointed her mother. For Cat he was someone that saw her as her and not just as Dahlia's sister. The two of them became friends and she fell in love with him. She was his partner in crime for a time. While, his sister was more his moral center. The two of them both mirroring different aspects of the Giese Clan head.
It might have continued this way if not for a series of events. The first of which was Catalina giving birth to her brother Skylen. Her father fearing the child's powers were too much like his mother and his own--wanted to ensure he didn't twist him the way he had Cat. So, he killed the boy out of what he considered mercy. It was this act that sent Cat over the edge as her father tried to save her son and died for the effort. Fearing that her mother would hate her even more for the death of her love Cat keep it a secret the truth of what had transpired that day.
A New Path...
She became obsessed with trying to cheat death to ensure that no one she cared for would ever die again. Her mother left the clan in her grief leaving Dahlia as the heir apparent to the Paxton Clan. However, she wouldn't be head for long. Shortly after these events Dahlia and Cat would both become with child. However, this time it was Kyrell who would be the father of both sets.
Cat deciding the only way to keep her sister safe was to slowly make her think she was going insane set out to work. She also knew that she had to protect her children from Bryce who had lied and told her he killed the child to teach her a lesson for being with Kyrell. If he would do that to his own son what would he do to the children she bore Kyrell. She set out a plan to protect her children--twins when they were born.
After her sister gave birth her sister tried to hide her kids but only managed to hide the boy child Hawthorne. It didn't matter because Bryce had no idea that she was having twins so all she needed was one child. It was what she believed whether he knew the truth of not was something that she didn't know. She took Ever from her mother and sent Dahlia to live in the human world. She sent her to an institution using her powers to make her sister believe she was insane. She presented her niece as her daughter and hide her own children away.
Gavriella and her twin was isolated in case anyone should ever find out the truth they couldn't reach both of them at the same time. Her brother was trained to be a weapon. There mother wanted him to be strong enough to some day fight against his father if need be. However, Gavriella was kidnapped when she was very young by a stranger.
A New Home...
Her mother looked everywhere for her and in the end she came to the collusion that she was dead. The truth was stranger than one might think. Her own brother had taken her. As he aged he longed for freedom--freedom that he would find as he managed to escape only to find himself thrust into the past. He grew up in the past and came for his sister. Vowing he would protect his twin and make sure she was safe from the mother he both loved and hated with equal measure.
She grew up under the watchful eye of her brother who kept her under lock in key. He didn't allow her to go out. However, she seemed to find away. Her own powers allowing her all sorts of options. She could move through time, space, and dimensions. Able to shift through objects using these powers if she wished. She often found herself on the outside without knowing how.
Her brother wanted to keep her powers a secret from her so she thinks it is just one of those strange things that happens that she is just lucky like that. He believes if he keeps her from using them she can avoid the magically build up that so many young witches face on a large level and thus she can remain with him instead of needing others of her kind to help her.
She wants to be apart of the outside world to see what others sees and often sneaks out. She knows her brother gets upset when she does this but she can't help it. She gets lonely with just the two of them and the girl Airi that has come to stay with them. Her brother says she is lucky he had no one when he was child. She knows he is her brother but is not aware that he is actually her twin. She wants to find her parents and some day met the rest of her family.
Venturing Out...
In time she would do just that. She would venture outside at first a result of her powers throwing her wherever but in time as she got bolder on her own. It was during one of these early trips that she would met another young witch by the name of Melinda. They would hit it off and become fast friends deciding to seek out the past of witches after over hearing something her sister said the two got into more than a few adventures.
She would get to meet her family as well and manage to try and push her brother to do the same. Mel and her went to the kingdom of the elves and Gavi was taken under the elf kings tutelage as he knew her magic was of a darker nature. Melinda didn't want to leave her there but Gavi feared for her well being among so many dark creatures she thought when her friend left they might never see each other again both being over protective of the other.
However, they did cross paths again and admitted they had feelings and started to date. She is still protective of Melinda who tends to believe the best in everyone and is always putting herself out there. She is also learning to control her powers more and more and will protect those she cares about the most.
Powers, Skills, and Abilities...
Time Manipulation: Gavi can control time. She can move through it. She can stop, slow, speed up, reverse or anything concerning it. She can move through time lines and can travel into the past, present, or future.
Time Perception: She can affect how others perceive time in their minds. Making it feel as if time is moving faster or slower than it is for them.
Space-Time Manipulation: She can bend the space time continuum, bending it or distorting it as she sees fit.
Dimensional Travel: Is able to travel through different realities and dimensions. Can pull others into these realities. She can also pull objects from these for her own use. Creating a pocket in which she is able to reach into and grab what she desires.
Time Vortex Control: She can touch the time vortex. Giving her power over it Can use it to create, destroy or anything else she wants to be affecting the very core of reality. The vortex is outside the space and time and thus when connected to it she is immune to the normal laws of physics.
